The Wigglebutt Inn helps out animals in need

Naples, FL - Four in Your Corner is telling you something good.

A dog daycare and boarding facility is giving back and it's not only caring for dogs while you're on vacation, but also remembering those at rescue shelters.

"This is my dog Snoopy, adopted him eight years ago," said Karen Paul, owner of The Wigglebutt Inn.

Karen Paul and her husband, George, have adopted several rescue dogs.

"My husband and I love dogs. We've always had dogs. Right now we have Snoopy and Lucky and just adopted Mimi as well from the Humane Society on December 24th," said Paul.

So Karen and George took that love for dogs and opened The Wigglebutt Inn in Naples.

"It started with an idea. We never had a place to take Snoopy when we traveled, a place we were comfortable with so we felt like why not, why can't we open our own place and do it the way we want, super clean, safe, fun, where dogs play a day long and not be in the cage," said Paul.

The Comella family just picked up their dog and they tell me Karen and her husband have accomplished something great here.

"Karen and George were so fabulous with her. They even sent us email in our hotel in Jerusalem showing us our dog getting a long with other dogs and playing, she loved it here," said Emily Comella.

But the couple cares for more dogs then just the ones at this facility.

The Inn is an avenue to help rescue dogs.

This year alone, they've given thousands to the Humane Society alone.

They also help domestic animal services and other local rescue groups.

"What is your hope for this doggie daycare?" I asked.

"Our hope is that we will remain one of the best places in Naples to bring your dogs. Who knows? In the future, we would like to expand maybe open up another location then the more we can prosper the more we can give back to the community so that is our ultimate goal," added Paul.

The Humane Society says Karen and George have helped their non-profit organization tremendously.

Karen and her husband along with the help from her customers dropped over car loads of supplies the humane society needed this past Christmas holiday. They also dropped off a check worth thousands.
